CASE STUDY

Nepal Trips

A travel booking and management platform delivered for Nepal Trips, covering hotels, rooms, rates, offers, currencies, bookings, and customer communication in a single system.

The engagement put booking, inventory, pricing, and customer communication into one platform, so the team changes what is sold and at what price without going through a developer.

Nepal Trips

The Nepal Trips platform brought online booking and day to day management into one system. Taking bookings online and keeping track of them had been a challenge, so the work started with the path from a booking on nepaltrips.com to the record the team acts on.

Bookings arrive in the same platform the team uses to track them. A reservation does not have to be moved between tools before it can be worked on.

Hotels, rooms, and rates are defined in the platform itself. The team sets up a property, the rooms it holds, and the rates that apply to them, and the site sells against those definitions.

Changing a price or changing what is visible to customers became a task staff carry out directly, rather than a request passed to a developer.

Offers are configured in the same place as the underlying rates, so a promotion is set against the inventory it applies to instead of being maintained on the side.

The platform also holds currency settings, so prices can be presented in more than one currency from the same rate definitions.

Customer communication runs through the platform. Staff respond from the booking record, so the exchange with a customer sits with the reservation it concerns.

Holding bookings, the inventory they draw on, and the messages about them in one system means the team works from a single record of what was sold and to whom.

The same pattern applies to any operator selling inventory that staff need to price and publish themselves, where bookings and the conversations about them belong on one record.
